Chef Lori Dooner is an experienced, hands-on chef known for blending the world's cuisine into something uniquely American. She is not only a great team leader, but possesses excellent interpersonal skills, staying calm even in the most stressful environments. Chef Dooner likes to create excitement with her food. She is very cost and health conscious, but can use butter and cream when the mood strikes.
Her training includes Le Cordon Bleu in both France and England, and the Florida Culinary Institute, and has management experience in many fine dining restaurants. She spent more than a decade honing her skills at exclusive guest lodges (as well as private lodges), in the Western United States and as Chef at innovative restaurants such as Elysium and The Grille in the Morrison House Hotel, Alexandria, VA, and Butterfield9, Washington, DC.
Chef Dooner has received excellent reviews by national press magazines including Town and Country(2001), Teton Home(2000), and Gourmet(2000). She had also been featured in a segment of the syndicated 2001 PBS Television show ‘Breaking Bread with Father Dominic’ and appeared in the 2007 HGTV special ‘Log Home Living’.
